Our Journey

The Smt. Sitadevi Taparia Charitable Trust

The Smt. Sitadevi Taparia Charitable Trust was formed in 1967, a testament to the enduring vision of its founder, Smt. Sitadevi Taparia, a woman of remarkable strength and compassion. Widowed at a young age, Smt. Sitadevi dedicated her life to serving the needy, living by principles of selflessness and generosity. Her door was always open—whether to support women in distress, donate to temples, or provide medical aid to those in need. No person ever left empty-handed from her door. Her deep commitment to uplifting women, ensuring their dignity and independence, became the heartbeat of the Trust’s mission, setting a foundation that would inspire generations.

Hailing from Jaswantgarh in Rajasthan, the Taparia family has long upheld a culture of giving back to society, a value passed down through generations. This legacy of community service has brought significant development to Jaswantgarh and its surrounding villages, reflecting the family’s unwavering dedication. Over the years, under the umbrella of Surajmalji Taparia Trust, they established a Girls’ College to empower young women through education, a Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya to preserve cultural knowledge, and an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) to skill youth for better livelihoods. Additionally, the family set up an Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, and Physiotherapy clinic to provide holistic healthcare to the community, alongside organizing annual medical camps and deploying mobile computer buses to educate people in nearby villages, ensuring access to both health and learning.

Following the family culture and footsteps , Shivratanji Taparia, an industrialist and the managing trustee of Smt. Sitadevi Taparia Charitable Trust has continued walking in her footsteps and has championed the belief that women should be groomed to stand on their own feet and achieve financial independence. This vision drives many of the Trust’s initiatives. His leadership has expanded the Trust’s reach, blending tradition with innovation to address society’s evolving needs. As Helen Keller, a blind and deaf American educator, once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much more.” This ethos of collective impact, rooted in Smt. Sitadevi’s legacy continues to guide the Trust’s journey, transforming lives across India with compassion and purpose.
