SDTT Vocational Institute

The Smt. Sitadevi Taparia Charitable Trust runs the SDTT Vocational Institute. Its mission to empower women through skill development programs. The institute offers various courses designed to help women develop vocational skills, ensuring that they gain self-reliance and contribute to their communities. The trust provides training and resources to equip women with the tools needed for sustainable livelihood Opportunities.

Exhibitions

The institute organises- Udaan exhibition every year in the months of March, July and October offering a platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products. The exhibition features 25 stalls, where women set up display of gift and decorative items, candles, jewellery, clothes, bandanwars, rakhis, home decor and other creative products. This exhibition not only encourages entrepreneurship among women but also promotes handmade, unique, and culturally rich products, making it a much-awaited and well-appreciated event at the institute.

Awareness Talks & Seminars

The institute organises various awareness talks and seminars focusing on the overall well-being and empowerment of women. These sessions cover important topics such as- Personal hygiene, breast cancer awareness, mental health, POSH, women’s rights, financial literacy, entrepreneurship development and awareness of government schemes. Such initiatives are essential in equipping women with the right knowledge, confidence, and resources, enabling them to make informed decisions and lead healthier, more empowered lives.

Self-Help Groups (SHGS)

The Trust works with local women’s groups in Mathura to empower them through skills training and economic opportunity. These groups engage in crafting traditional deity attire, Sanjhi art, and eco-friendly items made from cow dung, blending heritage with sustainability. By facilitating access to banking services and linking them to broader markets, the initiative encourages self-reliance and income generation.
